Job Description
The role of the General Manager is to lead the front of house team, manage all front of house operations, ensure service runs smoothly, interact with guests, handle issues with guests and/or staff when they arise, manage the counter/take out operations (as needed), ensure the restaurant is properly closed, and administrative work like keeping inventory, ordering, and scheduling. The ideal candidate would have a positive attitude, an interest in beer and wine, a desire to grow within the company, and be able to follow/enforce rules and guidelines set forth. Pay Salary dependent upon experience When working the counter, tips from sales at the counter (100%) and take-out orders (split 50:50 with the kitchen staff) Responsibilities Manage service 5 nights Ensure proper steps of service are being followed All Front of House Operations Manage daily money (drawers, change, deposits) Ensure servers/bartenders are following rules/guidelines outlined in Employee Handbook Check out servers and bartenders closing duties/side work Ameliorate guest/service problems Closing the bar/restaurant Handle any discounts/comps needed Fill in other FoH roles if we are short staffed on your scheduled shifts Handle anyone disrupting service - both customers and non-customers Check out dishwasher to ensure all closing procedures are performed Assist in maintaining a small cocktail program Manage Counter Operations 3-4 nights a week Seat guests Run food and bus as needed Coordinate online take out orders Ring up guests for take out beer/food and merch Administrative Work Handling guest parties/buyouts Scheduling Building and maintaining inventory management system Inventory ordering Assist in hiring and training Staff education/pre-shift meetings Completing daily shift notes and incident reports Ensuring menu in Toast POS is accurate and up to date Event management Assisting in social media management/posts Employee Perks Monthly Carbon Copy gift card for 25% discount on cans to go (Manager’s only) 25% discount on all food and in house beverages Shift meal and shift beer/wine/cider/NA Requirements ServSafe certified (paid for by Carbon Copy) RAMP Certification server and manager (paid for by Carbon Coy) Strong Communication Experience managing a restaurant or bar More detail about Carbon Copy, please visit https://culinaryagents.com/entities/718565-Carbon-Copy
