About 55 Seventy 55 Seventy is a Dallas-based private club built around a singular passion for wine. Our membership is composed of serious collectors, hospitality enthusiasts, and connoisseurs who expect an elevated, personalized experience at every touchpoint. The club offers full-service upscale dining, a world-class wine program, premium spirits, luxury wine storage, and an extensive monthly calendar of club programming, all united by a commitment to discovery, service, and the culture of wine. We are seeking an General Manager / Managing Director who brings both deep expertise and genuine hospitality โ€” someone who can lead a high-caliber team of Departmental Directors, steward an exceptional luxury club experience, and build lasting relationships with a discerning membership. THE ROLE Position Details Compensation: $190,000โ€“$235,000 base + performance-based bonus Benefits: Medical, dental, 401(k) with match, PTO, STO, and travel expenses Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt Schedule: Variable; includes evenings and weekends as needed for special events or business demands Reports To: CEO / COO / Operating Partner Direct Reports: Membership Director, Wine Director, Programming & Events Director, Executive Chef KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Management Own the club's P&L; manage operating and capital budgets with each department Director Establish KPIs for each department, conduct monthly reviews, and communicate performance to leadership proactively โ€” surfacing issues before they escalate Monitor labor cost, F&B COGS, and inventory closely; implement corrective action with urgency and transparency Leadership & Team Development Lead with empathy โ€” inspire and develop a team of department heads across FOH, BOH, Wine, Events, and Membership teams Build a culture where every team member feels respected, accountable, and clear on how to grow; hold difficult conversations with care and directness Drive proactive, consistent communication across the organization โ€” never letting issues simmer Member Relations & Hospitality Serve as the face of the club; greet members by name, be present on the floor during service, and show up at events as a genuine host Meet every prospective and new member personally; proactively solicit feedback and act on what you hear Food, Beverage & Wine Partner with the Executive Chef and Wine Director to develop innovative F&B programming that keeps members engaged, impressed, and coming back Benchmark against leading clubs and restaurants globally; bring ideas back and translate them into action Provide strategic oversight to the Wine Director across cellar management, procurement, brokerage sales, and member cellar services Events, Operations & Facilities Oversee the annual events calendar in partnership with the Director of Programming & Events and Wine Director โ€” from intimate member dinners to large-scale programming Stay three steps ahead of operational issues; implement near-term fixes while developing long-term solutions, always documenting for the team Maintain rigorous facilities standards โ€” cleanliness, appearance, and equipment โ€” and manage capital projects on time and within budget Membership, Marketing & Leadership Relations Partner with the Membership Director on growth, retention, and conversion strategies; keep a close watch on pipeline and intervene early Ensure all marketing and external communications are on-brand and reflect the club's voice and standards Provide leadership with regular strategic updates, financial reporting, and early alerts on issues requiring attention or resources IDEAL CANDIDATE 8โ€“12+ years of progressive hospitality leadership, including 3โ€“5+ years as a General Manager / Managing Director / CEO or equivalent senior role in a private club, luxury hotel, or fine dining environment. Proven P&L ownership, strong team-building instincts, and a track record of exceptional member or guest experience. Familiarity with wine program management and an appreciation for wine culture are meaningful assets. CCM designation or CMAA membership is a plus. Above all, we are looking for a servant leader who finds genuine energy in showing up for their team and their members โ€” someone who leads by example, communicates with candor, and never stops working to raise the bar.
