🚀 We’re Hiring: General Ledger Accountant (Financial Analysis) | Philippines

FiberHome is looking for a General Ledger Accountant with a Financial Analysis focus to join our Finance team in the Philippines and provide offshore finance support to our Brazil/Mercosur operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to work in a multinational, cross-cultural environment and gain exposure to Brazilian finance operations.

Location: Philippines – Remote

Working Hours: Aligned with Brazil (Brasília) business hours

Experience: 3–5 years in Accounting, General Ledger, Finance, or FP&A

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field

CPA: Philippine CPA is a plus

English: Fluent / professional working proficiency

Portuguese: Not required at entry, but willingness to learn Portuguese is mandatory

ERP: Experience with ERP systems required; TOTVS (Protheus) is a strong advantage

About the Role

As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for the full accounting close cycle, including monthly and year-end closing, journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting.

The role also includes a financial analysis component, supporting management with financial performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and operational reporting.

You will work closely with colleagues in Brazil, China, and Argentina, making strong communication, attention to detail, organization, and cross-cultural collaboration essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly and annual accounting closing process, including closing schedules, checklists, and follow-up of outstanding items.

• Prepare, review, and maintain journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and traceability.

• Perform account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and prepare reconciliation reports.

• Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements and management reports.

• Support internal and external audits by providing accounting data and documentation.

• Ensure accounting activities comply with company policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards, including Brazilian local requirements.

• Prepare financial analyses and management reports to support business decision-making.

• Monitor financial KPIs and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

• Analyze operating expenses, costs, and profitability.

• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.

• Support AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and cash-flow forecasting.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and strengthen internal controls.

• Operate and support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of TOTVS (Protheus).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of professional experience in accounting, General Ledger, finance, or FP&A.

• Hands-on experience with:

• Month-end and year-end closing
• Journal entries
• Account reconciliations
• Financial statement preparation
• Financial analysis and reporting
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Cash-flow management
• AP/AR
• Bank reconciliation

• Experience with an ERP system.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Familiarity with applicable accounting standards and compliance requirements. IFRS knowledge is preferred.

• Experience supporting multinational or offshore/shared-service teams is a plus, particularly exposure to Latin America or Brazil.

• Knowledge of FX operations and international trade is a plus.

• Fluent English for professional communication.|

Important Requirements

This position supports our Brazil subsidiary, so successful candidates must:

Be willing to work according to Brazil (Brasília) business hours, including evening/night shifts in the Philippines.

Be committed to learning Portuguese after joining. Existing Portuguese or Spanish knowledge is a strong advantage.

Be willing to learn and become proficient in TOTVS (Protheus), the Brazilian local finance system.

Be comfortable working remotely with colleagues from China, Brazil, and Argentina.
