Overview Job Title: Fundamental Analyst Location: Houston, TX A global energy company is seeking a sharp and driven Fundamental Analyst to support its expanding asset hedging and trading business in the power sector. This role is ideal for someone with 3-5 years of experience in quantitative and fundamental analysis, within U.S. power markets. You will report directly to the Head Trader and play a critical role in supporting investment, origination, and hedging strategies.
Responsibilities Conduct quantitative and fundamental analysis to support trading and hedging decisions in power markets. Work with large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across ISOs. Build and maintain financial models and analytical tools to support asset valuation and strategy development.
Collaborate with trading, strategy, and commercial teams to deliver actionable insights. Qualifications Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in power analysis, trading support, quantitative analysis, or financial modeling within power markets. Strong understanding of U.S.
ISO markets; ERCOT experience is highly recommended. Proficiency in Excel and Python Experience working with large datasets and data visualization tools. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
