Full-Stack Web Developer (Security + OCR)

• About the role:
  • We are looking for a developer who can take prototypes to a secure, scalable, production-ready product along side maintenance, bug fixes, & feature additions post launch.
• Current stack:
  • React & Node.js on Vercel + Supabase
• Core work:
  • Audit & lock down security — this is the #1 priority.
  • Build an OCR pipeline that extracts structured data from images/documents into a secure database
  • Refactor existing prototype for scale and reliability without unnecessary rewrites
  • Must have:
    • 3+ years shipping production React + Node.js applications
    • A portfolio of shipped web apps — share links and a short note on your role and what you built
    • Real security experience — auth (OAuth2/JWT), input validation, rate limiting, secrets/env hygiene, encryption at rest & in transit, OWASP Top 10 awareness, and genuinely understanding how apps get breached
    • Hands‑on OCR / document data‑extraction experience (Preferably experience with tesseract)
    • Strong backend fundamentals — API design, PostgreSQL data modeling, async job processing
    • Scaling fundamentals — caching (Redis), queueing, horizontal scaling
    • Comfortable on Vercel + Railway and modern CI/CD
    • Strong English, written and verb
  • Nice to have:
    • Security audit / pentest awareness
    • Infrastructure‑as‑code, monitoring and observability
    • Experience migrating off PaaS toward more scalable infra when warranted
