This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1000000 - Rs 2200000 (ie INR 10-22 LPA) Min Experience: 3 years Location: kolkata JobType :full-time We are seeking a Backend-Heavy Full Stack Developer to play a critical role in building and scaling a data-driven platform that powers intelligent decision-making and workflow automation. This role sits at the core of platform execution, focusing primarily on backend systems, integrations, and event-driven logic that translate data insights into real-time platform actions. While backend development is the primary focus, you will also contribute to frontend components when needed, ensuring seamless interaction between system intelligence and user interfaces.

You will work closely with data and frontend teams, acting as the bridge that connects machine intelligence with product functionality in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment. Requirements Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain robust backend systems and REST APIs that power platform functionality and workflows Develop event-driven architectures and trigger logic to automate platform actions based on data signals and thresholds Manage integrations between internal systems and external data sources, ensuring reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance Implement strong security practices, including authentication, authorization, data isolation, and audit logging Ensure system scalability and performance through efficient error handling, monitoring, and queue management Define and maintain data contracts with data/AI teams to ensure seamless data flow and system consistency Collaborate closely with frontend developers to build APIs that are intuitive and easy to consume Contribute to frontend development when required, including dashboards and data-driven interfaces Maintain clear documentation of system architecture, APIs, and workflows Proactively communicate progress, risks, and blockers while working closely with cross-functional teams What Makes You a Great Fit 4+ years of experience in full stack development with strong backend expertise Proven experience building scalable backend systems, REST APIs, and integration architectures Strong understanding of event-driven systems, trigger-based workflows, and system design principles Experience with relational and non-relational databases and efficient data modeling Hands-on knowledge of authentication, authorization, and secure system design Familiarity with cloud environments and basic infrastructure management Working knowledge of modern frontend frameworks and ability to support UI development when needed Strong understanding of API consumption and frontend-backend interaction Proficiency in Git, version control, and writing clear technical documentation Ability to work in fast-paced, startup-like environments with high ownership and accountability Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and system reliability
