IT Founding Engineer / Product Engineering Lead

We are looking to hire a strong Founding Engineer / Product Engineering Lead for our organization Role: Founding Engineer / Product Engineering Lead Location: Gurgaon (On-site / Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-Time Organization: MetaNova MedTech Alliance Private Limited About the Role We are building a real-time, high-reliability technology platform that requires strong backend systems, integrations, and performance under load. We are looking for a hands-on engineering lead who can take complete ownership of the system—from an existing prototype to a production-grade, scalable platform. This is a zero-to-one role with full technical ownership.

What You Will Own - Take full ownership of the current system and evolve it into a production-ready platform - Design and implement scalable backend architecture and APIs - Set up and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) - Ensure system performance, reliability, and uptime under load - Implement security best practices (authentication, data protection, access control) - Define and manage database architecture and optimization - Build monitoring, logging, and alerting systems - Ensure the system is structured for future scale and extensibility - Work directly with the founders on product and system decisions Core Technical Expectations - Strong experience with Node.js (or similar backend framework) - Experience building production-grade backend systems and APIs - Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization - Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP) - Experience with databases (PostgreSQL or similar) - Familiarity with authentication, security, and data protection practices - Ability to debug and optimize systems under real-world constraints What Makes You a Strong Fit - You have built and shipped real systems end-to-end - You can take ownership without needing structured guidance - You are comfortable working with imperfect or evolving systems - You can balance speed and long-term scalability Good to Have - Experience working in early-stage startups (0→1 builds) - Experience with real-time or high-availability systems - Exposure to regulated environments (healthcare, fintech, etc.) What This Role Is NOT - Not a narrow frontend/backend role - Not a maintenance role - Not suited for candidates needing defined structure or large teams Compensation ₹15L – ₹30L+ depending on capability, with meaningful ESOPs for the right candidate Application Requirements - GitHub / code samples - Systems or products built end-to-end - Description of your role in those systems - Brief note on how you approach scaling a system from prototype to production In case you are the one and would be interested to apply, please reach out with your CV and above details to [email protected]
