Full or Part Time Accountant

Morgan McKinley is delighted to support a Kilkenny-based accountancy firm who are currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Qualified Accountant.

This is a versatile position suited for a professional with 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience. Our client is open to considering both full-time and part-time applicants, making this an ideal opportunity for qualified finance professionals looking for local working arrangements and scheduling flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Preparation and completion of Year-End Accounts to standard statutory compliance.

• Taxation: Managing, preparing, and submitting Corporation Tax (CT) Returns and routine VAT Returns.

• Bookkeeping: Handling core bookkeeping duties, maintaining clean general ledgers, and overseeing accounts management.

• Compliance: Ensuring all reporting aligns with relevant regulations and statutory deadlines.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent).

• Minimum 5 to 6 years of relevant experience within practice or industry.

• Proven hands-on experience with core bookkeeping, VAT returns, year-end financial statement preparation, and CT returns.

• Strong technical skill set paired with clear communication skills.

• Must be based in or within an easy commute of the Kilkenny area and open to working in the office.
