Frontend Developer

Insight Global is seeking a Senior UI Engineer to support a strategic metadata platform migration programme for one of our premier financial services clients in Bengaluru. This initiative will bring a third-party metadata management capability in-house and integrate it into the client's proprietary Data Trust platform, creating a centralised view of market, trading venue, and exchange metadata.

This is not a traditional front-end development role. The ideal candidate will be involved from the earliest stages of product discovery, partnering with business stakeholders, data analysts, and engineers to define requirements, design user experiences, create wireframes, and build intuitive user interfaces from the ground up.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand complex metadata management workflows and user requirements.
• Translate high-level business needs into wireframes, prototypes, and functional UI designs.
• Lead front-end discovery activities, helping define how users will interact with metadata and data management tools.
• Design and develop modern React-based applications that allow users to view, edit, maintain, and govern metadata.
• Collaborate closely with Data Analysts and Snowflake engineers to understand underlying data structures and ensure seamless user experiences.
• Build reusable front-end components and establish foundational UI patterns for future platform development.
• Participate in solution design workshops and contribute to product direction, usability improvements, and feature prioritisation.
• Create responsive, user-friendly interfaces that simplify complex data management processes.
• Support the build-out of mock-ups and proof-of-concepts during the initial discovery and design phase.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of front-end engineering experience in React and TypeScript
• Experience building scalable, reusable front-end architecture
• Experience designing and developing applications from concept through delivery
• Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and modern web application design
• Experience creating wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes
• Strong experience with API integration patterns and enterprise web application design
• Strong knowledge of UI testing strategy across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels
• Demonstrated ability to optimize web performance and improve usability outcomes
