Backend Developer Intern

About Onified.ai

Onified.ai is building an Enterprise Resource Intelligence platform for manufacturers, with 50+ integrated applications spanning business and manufacturing operations.

We are looking for a Backend Developer Intern who wants to understand what happens behind those applications, like APIs, business logic, data, security, integrations and distributed systems.

You will write code that becomes part of live software, not spend six months doing training exercises.

What you will work on

• Build and improve backend services and APIs
• Implement enterprise business logic and workflows
• Work with relational databases and data models
• Build service-to-service integrations
• Work with authentication, authorization and multi-tenant systems
• Write tests and debug application behaviour
• Investigate performance and reliability issues
• Participate in code reviews
• Learn how production SaaS systems are designed and operated

What we are looking for

• Students who can commit full-time for six months, and 2026 graduates, from CS, IT, Engineering or related fields
• Strong programming fundamentals
• Understanding of object-oriented programming
• Basic understanding of REST APIs
• Basic SQL/database knowledge
• Familiarity with data structures
• Curiosity about how systems work beyond the UI
• Willingness to debug rather than give up when something breaks

Good to have

Java, Spring Boot, Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Docker, Git or substantial backend projects.

Knowing our entire stack is not a requirement.

Internship details

Paid · 6 months · Full-time · On-site · Gurugram

You will work alongside engineers on live Onified.ai applications.

We care more about fundamentals, aptitude and learning ability than the number of frameworks on your CV.
