Part-Time French Teacher – Middle & High School

Webtree Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicatedPart-Time French Teacherto join our teaching team. The successful candidate will teach French at the Middle School and High School levels, supporting students in developing strong communication skills, confidence, and proficiency in French.

About the Role

The French Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons that strengthen students’speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, while fostering an appreciation for French language and culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach French at the Middle School (Grade 8) and High School levels (Grade 9 & 10)
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with theOntario curriculum
• Develop students’ oral communication, reading, writing, and comprehension skills
• Prepare students for assessments and support their individual learning needs
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers and school administration to support student success

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency inspoken and written French
• Previous experience teaching French at the Middle School and/or High School level
• DELF qualification/certification or experience preparing students for DELF examinations is highly preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction based on students’ individual language levels
• Familiarity with theOntario French curriculumis preferred
• OCT certification is an asset
• Passion for working with students and supporting their academic and language development
