Job Description

Position Overview The Floor Manager at Brick Lane an operational and cultural leader of restaurant service. They are responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing a high‑performing team, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations in a fast‑paced, upscale environment. This role requires a hospitality‑driven leader with an understanding of wine and craft cocktails as well as the ability to manage a large dining room with consistency, grace, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Hospitality Uphold Brick Lane’s service standards and ensure every guest receives warm, attentive, and memorable hospitality. Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and empathy, turning challenges into opportunities for loyalty. Maintain a strong presence on the floor during peak service to support staff and engage with guests.

Team Leadership Foster employee retention through recognition, growth opportunities, and a positive work environment. Operations & Financial Management Oversee daily operations, including service flow, reservations, floor management, and shift execution. Manage hourly labor, inventory, and daily operations Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Beverage Program Oversight Collaborate with the bar and wine teams to maintain a thoughtful, modern beverage program that complements Brick Lane’s cuisine. Possess introductory wine knowledge, including varietals, regions and pairings. Support bar operations to ensure consistency, high-quality guest experiences and proper training for bartenders.

Staffing & Retention Maintain a motivated team through thoughtful scheduling, fair leadership, and proactive conflict resolution. Implement systems that support long‑term retention, including training pathways and recognition programs. Maintain a healthy, collaborative culture aligned with Brick Lane’s values.

Administrative & Strategic Duties Manage daily time punches, scheduling, ordering, and vendor relationships. Report guest feedback, and service operations to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Manager or AGM in an upscale or high‑volume restaurant.

Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Understanding of wine, craft cocktails, and beverage programing Proven track record of improving guest satisfaction and employee retention. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
