Fire Technician

Hot Shots Fire Services and Electrical is seeking a dedicated and skilled Fire Technician to join our team in Brisbane, Queensland. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining, servicing, and inspecting fire safety equipment and systems. As a Fire Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all fire protection equipment meets regulatory standards and functions correctly when needed.

This position is essential to our operations and directly contributes to the safety of our clients and their properties.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and service fire extinguishers, Exit Emergency Lights, Fire Doors and other fire safety equipment to ensure compliance with Australian standards
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire protection equipment, identifying and rectifying defects
• Install fire safety equipment at client locations.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation on all servicing, testing, and maintenance activities
• Respond to client enquiries regarding fire safety equipment and provide technical advice
• Maintain accurate records of all equipment serviced, including expiry dates and inspection schedules
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company safety procedures on job sites
• Travel to various client locations across Brisbane and surrounding areas to deliver services

About you

• Qualified and experienced Fire Technician
• Relevant licenses, accreditation and industry experience
• Good understanding of Australian Standards and fire compliance requirements
• Takes pride in their workmanship
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
• Communicates well with customers and other team members
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Working knowledge of Uptick Fire software advantage
