We are seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to support the delivery of projects for one of Ireland’s leading retail operators. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of live projects, providing fire engineering expertise from concept through to completion.

Working within a fast‑paced environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring fire safety, regulatory compliance, and practical risk management solutions across operational retail environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Engineer seeking responsibility, variety, and exposure to high‑profile projects within a dynamic and growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide fire engineering support throughout design and construction phases.
  • Review and advise on fire strategies and compliance with Irish Building Regulations.
  • Identify, assess, and help manage fire‑related risks across projects.
  • Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve fire safety matters.
  • Undertake site inspections and project reviews as required.
  • Develop practical fire safety solutions suitable for live operational environments.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Fire Engineering.
  • Proven experience in fire engineering within a consultancy, construction, or related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and fire safety design principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work effectively across multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A practical, solutions‑focused approach to project delivery.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working within retail or other live operational environments would be advantageous.
  • Chartered or Registered status (or working toward it).
  • Leadership or commercial responsibility experience.
  • Strong capability in contractor oversight and tender processes.
