ClearBank

LondonFull-timeMid LevelOn-site

Job Description

About ClearBank ClearBank is the UK’s first purpose-built clearing bank in over 250 years. We’re transforming the banking infrastructure landscape with a cloud-native platform that enables fintechs, banks, and regulated institutions to deliver real-time, secure, and scalable financial services. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA), ideally with Financial Crime experience, to initially support the design, enhancement, and optimisation of Financial Crime Products, starting with KYC (Know Your Customer), KYB (Know Your Business), and ongoing monitoring capabilities, while also contributing to ClearBank’s expanding Digital Assets initiatives and other Financial Crime priorities.

This role sits at the intersection of regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, product development, and digital transformation, supporting both emerging propositions and strategic programmes. The BA will work closely with Product, Engineering, Financial Crime, Compliance, and Digital Assets teams to ensure ClearBank delivers robust, scalable, and regulatory-aligned controls. Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Capture and refine business requirements for new Financial Crime products (e.g., KYC/B & Digital Assets), map target-state processes across different business segments, products and services, and design process improvements that reduce manual intervention and increase straight-through processing; collaborate with product managers to shape capabilities required by new propositions.

Stakeholder Engagement: Engage cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Compliance, Digital Assets, Billing, Vendor Management) to align on solution design; liaise with third-party providers to ensure functional and technical alignment. Documentation & Quality Assurance: Produce high-quality artefacts—business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, data dictionaries, process maps, billing logic, etc.; support UAT planning, execution, and defect triage for new features. Essential Skills & Experience Demonstrable BA toolkit: requirements elicitation, process mapping, user stories, gap analysis.

Ability to work with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and External Vendors. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complexity. Excellent written and verbal communication, with an emphasis on clarity and precision.
