Senior Financial Reporting Consultant – Investment Funds

Location: Limerick – Hybrid, 3 days on-site per week

Rate: Up to €51.43 per hour

We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Reporting Consultant to join a leading global financial services organisation within its Financial Reporting operation in Limerick.

Reviewing Financial Statements is a key aspect of the role; candidates must have this experience.

This is a senior-level opportunity for someone with strong experience across investment funds, financial reporting and fund administration, who is comfortable handling complex reporting matters, working closely with external auditors and providing technical guidance to wider teams.

You’ll play an important role in maintaining high financial reporting standards, interpreting regulatory and accounting developments, and driving best practice across both local and outsourced operations.

What you'll be doing

• Review and support the delivery of financial statements, ensuring compliance with current accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret changes to accounting standards and regulations and assess their impact on investment fund clients.
• Act as a key point of contact for external audit firms, facilitating technical updates and resolving reporting issues.
• Guide on complex and non-routine financial reporting matters.
• Identify and implement financial reporting best practices across teams.
• Work with training functions to identify development requirements and establish appropriate standards.
• Liaise with Compliance and other internal stakeholders.
• Support senior management with client servicing, due diligence and new business opportunities.
• Represent the Financial Reporting function in client presentations and relevant industry forums.
• Contribute to RFP responses and prospective client presentations where required.
• Coach, mentor and support colleagues across different locations.

What we're looking for

You’ll need proven experience within the investment management/investment funds industry, gained within areas such as:

• Fund administration
• Asset management
• Securities operations

Strong financial reporting experience is highly desirable.

You also bring:

• Detailed knowledge of onshore and offshore fund administration.
• Strong knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Working knowledge of the Irish regulatory environment relating to Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting.
• Knowledge of established Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting systems and how these interface with other platforms.
• Excellent client-facing, communication and presentation skills.
• Leadership, coaching and team-development capability.
• Experience dealing with complex financial reporting issues.
• The ability to influence stakeholders and contribute to wider departmental strategy.

Experience with financial information vendors such as Bloomberg or Reuters would also be beneficial.
