Financial Reporting Accountant- Chicago (Hiring Immediately)

Financial Reporting Accountant Location: 200 W Monroe St, Suite 1500, Chicago IL 60606

Position type: Full‑time

Salary range: $85,000 – $95,000 per year

The Parking Spot is looking for a full‑time Financial Reporting Accountant with 2‑3 years of experience, preferably with a public accounting background. The role involves timely, insightful, and accurate financial reporting, forecasting and analysis, along with financial modeling, variance analysis and consolidated reporting. The candidate will also book journal entries, review financial data, support audits and help improve accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Book monthly close journal entries and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.

Collaborate with departments to ensure proper GAAP capitalization of fixed assets.

Review capital outflow and book depreciation/amortization.

Research and recommend proper GAAP treatment of issues.

Use Infor software to generate key financial metrics and reports.

Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Support annual audit by preparing schedules and responding to auditors.

Assist in developing and implementing process improvements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

2‑3 years of relevant experience; Big 4 or national accounting firm preferred.

CPA designation or working toward CPA.

Exceptional Excel skills.

Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and strategic thinking.

Experience with financial reporting systems.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Flexible and customer‑oriented approach.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate at all levels.

Ability to deliver results in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
