Financial Analyst – Manufacturing Finance Full-Time | Permanent Location: Mississauga, Ontario A well-established North American manufacturing organization is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Plant Finance team. This role partners closely with plant operations and finance leadership to support financial reporting, operational analysis, forecasting, and business decision-making within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Why Join • Opportunity to work closely with plant leadership and operations teams • Exposure to manufacturing finance, costing, and operational analytics • High-visibility role with strong career growth potential • Collaborative and performance-driven culture • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits What You’ll Do Month-End Close & Financial Reporting • Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, inventory support, and variance analysis • Prepare operating statements and financial reports with detailed commentary for leadership review • Assist with product costing analysis and manufacturing cost reporting • Validate Bills of Material (BOM) and raw material usage for cost accuracy Operational Finance & Business Partnership • Partner with plant management to provide financial insights and operational support • Analyze production metrics, yields, scrap, and operational KPIs to identify improvement opportunities • Support KPI development, tracking, and reporting • Monitor plant process compliance and escalate issues where appropriate • Build strong relationships with operations and plant personnel through ongoing collaboration Planning & Forecasting • Assist with budgeting, annual planning, and forecasting processes • Support scenario analysis and performance tracking against budget and forecast • Provide variance analysis and commentary on operational and financial performance Projects & Continuous Improvement • Participate in cross-functional projects and ad hoc financial analysis • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies • Continue developing expertise in manufacturing finance and costing methodologies What You Bring • 3–5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience • Manufacturing industry experience preferred • Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis • Knowledge of IFRS and/or GAAP standards • Experience working with ERP systems (JDE experience considered an asset) • Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment Nice to Have • CPA/CMA designation completed or in progress • MBA or advanced business education • Experience partnering directly with plant operations teams • Exposure to manufacturing KPIs and operational analytics Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field • Strong financial reporting and analytical skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines • Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
