Job Description Job Description We are looking for a Financial Aid Analyst/Specialist to support prospective students and their families by explaining funding options and guiding them through financial aid eligibility. This contract position offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent role and is based in Miramar, Florida, with a permanent, in-office schedule in a fast-paced environment during a high-volume season. The person in this role will partner closely with admissions staff, deliver excellent service, and help ensure applicants receive timely and accurate financial aid guidance.
Responsibilities: • Advise prospective students and family members on available financial aid programs, application steps, and qualification guidelines. • Respond to questions with professionalism and empathy, providing clear explanations of policies, deadlines, and required documentation. • Review financial aid information for accuracy and completeness and help resolve issues that may delay awarding or packaging. • Collaborate with the admissions team to align outreach efforts and support applicants throughout the enrollment process. • Maintain organized records, track student interactions, and update case details in internal systems as needed. • Manage a high volume of inquiries during peak periods while maintaining strong service standards and attention to detail. • Support office coverage requirements, including one extended weekday schedule each week and one Saturday shift per month. • Contribute to administrative processes related to student funding support and other assigned operational tasks.• At least 2 years of experience in financial aid, student services, accounting support, or a related administrative role. • Demonstrated ability to deliver strong customer service in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting. • Working knowledge of financial aid processes, eligibility discussions, or student funding support is preferred. • Comfortable communicating with students, families, and internal teams in a clear and thorough manner. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate documentation. • Proficiency with standard office systems and data entry tasks in a structured office environment. • Availability to work onsite in Miramar, Florida, including one late day per week and one Saturday per month.
