About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Financial & Administrative Specialist to join the Portuguese subsidiary of an international tech services organization.
This role combines local financial operations with exposure to international corporate finance processes, offering the opportunity to work closely with both local leadership and global finance teams.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth management of financial administration, project-related financial processes, and corporate reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Administration & Operations
- Manage treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring and banking operations.
- Oversee accounts receivable and collection processes.
- Manage supplier relationships, invoices, and payment cycles.
- Ensure accurate financial documentation and administrative compliance.
Project Finance & Billing
- Coordinate customer invoicing processes.
- Monitor the financial performance of projects and support project managers with financial information.
- Track revenue, costs, and project profitability.
- Support ongoing financial planning and forecasting activities.
Accounting & Compliance
- Assist in ensuring compliance with Portuguese accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external advisors and auditors when required.
- Support monthly closing activities and financial reconciliations.
Corporate Reporting & Group Support
- Participate in monthly and period-end closing processes at an international level.
- Collect, validate, and upload financial information from different business units.
- Prepare reports and analyses for local management and corporate stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting and financial control processes.
What We Are Looking For
- 3 to 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or administrative finance roles.
- Solid understanding of Portuguese accounting and tax regulations.
- Experience in treasury management, collections, supplier management, and invoicing.
- Previous involvement in financial reporting and month-end closing activities.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets.
- Native Portuguese speaker.
- Intermediate Spanish level.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across different countries.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP ERP.
- Previous experience in multinational organizations.
- Experience within consulting, professional services, technology, or project-based businesses.
