Founded in 2024, JUDE is a luxury footwear brand redefining what modern craftsmanship looks like. Our shoes are made in Portugal using the finest Italian and French leathers, combining minimalist design, striking silhouettes, and unexpected details.

Our footwear is sold through leading B2C and B2B channels, including Selfridges, Luisa Via Roma, Galeries Lafayette, The Webster, and Moda Operandi.

We're looking for a hands-on finance professional to own our books, our numbers, and our financial health — someone equally comfortable reconciling an invoice and advising leadership on cash flow.

THE ROLE

This is a broad, hybrid finance role covering bookkeeping, accounting, and financial controlling — ideal for someone who wants full ownership of a company's finances rather than a narrow slice of them. You'll be the go-to person for anything financial at JUDE, working closely with founders and leadership as a trusted partner.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping: invoicing, expenses, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance
• Own full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable/receivable and month-end close
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and cash flow forecasts
• Ensure compliance with Portuguese tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors as needed
• Monitor budgets, costs, and margins across production, wholesale, and retail channels
• Support leadership with financial insights to guide business decisions
• Help build and improve financial processes and controls as the company scales

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Solid experience across bookkeeping, accounting, and financial controlling (or a strong mix of two, with willingness to grow into the third)
• Working knowledge of Portuguese accounting standards and tax requirements
• Strong Excel skills; experience with accounting software (e.g. Primavera, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable owning numbers end-to-end
• Fluent in Portuguese and English
• Experience in retail, fashion, or manufacturing is a plus
• Comfortable in a small, fast-moving team where you wear multiple hats
