Job DescriptionFexco Aviation Services Ltd. are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant / Senior Financial Accountant (DOE) to join their team in Shannon, Co. Clare on a full-time permanent basis. The role will have the flexibility to work a hybrid model after the initial on site training period has been completed.

Company Profile: Based in Shannon, Co. Clare, Fexco Aviation Services Ltd. (theCompany) is a subsidiary of Fexco Group. The Company provides outsourced financial services, principally to the aviation industry, by managing Aircraft Leasing Platforms, Aircraft Owning SPVs along with Aviation ABS and similar transactions.

The company provides Managing Agent services to its clients. See for corporate details. The Company provides complete general ledger accounting, financial reporting and analysis, daily transaction processing, cash management and company secretarial services.

The co-ordination of other external services such as audit, tax and legal advice is also provided. Main Responsibilities: Manage and develop client relationships, acting as a key accounting contact for day-to-day financial reporting and service delivery. Prepare and review management accounts and statutory financial statements for a portfolio of big-ticket leasing entities, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Manage the audit process for a portfolio of entities, coordinating audit timelines and deliverables for individual and consolidated statutory financial statements. Prepare and review budgets and forecasts, supporting accounting analysis, variance review and client financial reporting requirements. Review finance and accounting records to support accurate payment calculations, accruals and related reporting in accordance with relevant agreements.

Prepare and review monthly cash and debt reports, including reconciliations, debt schedules, covenant monitoring and liquidity reporting. Prepare quarterly board papers to tight deadlines and attend board meetings as required. Draft accurate and timely board minutes, capturing key decisions and action points.

Supervise, mentor and support junior staff, promoting quality, development and effective delivery. Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives as required. Qualifications / Experience Required: Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with 35 years post-qualification experience.

Previous experience in a similar finance or accounting role, with strong working knowledge of accounting information and reporting processes. Aircraft leasing experience, including exposure to financing structures and ABS transactions, would be advantageous. Strong PC literacy, with excellent Excel skills; knowledge of Sun Systems would be an advantage.

Strong understanding of IFRS, with knowledge of US GAAP, FRS 101 and FRS 102 desirable. Sound knowledge of consolidation accounting principles and related reporting requirements.
