About the Role

This is an integral role within the finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller, with a mandate to help set up and drive positive change. You will be part of the team preparing monthly financial reporting, with a focus on process improvement to ensure timely and accurate reporting each month.

You will provide reporting and analysis for end of month financial results as part of a broader global finance team spanning Australia, the UK and the USA. This role suits someone who enjoys innovative thinking and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to get the job done.

What You Will Need To Do

  • Work within a close knit team to complete month end close, including supporting schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, lease accounting, prepayments and accruals, all within set deadlines.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Register, including capital work in progress, capitalising assets and applying depreciation rates and useful lives in line with company policy.
  • Upload balance sheet reconciliation support into OneStream.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting, including managing outgoing payments.
  • Support external and internal audit requests, including interim and year end audits.
  • Apply your understanding of Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) legislation to support schedules, declarations and the draft FBT return.
  • Maintain and develop finance processes and procedures to support timely, accurate and efficient reporting in line with global and local policy.
  • Contribute to data collation for Australian Bureau of Statistics surveys and other reporting as required.

About You

  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • CA/CPA qualified.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, OneStream (HFM), Oracle or similar ERP's.
  • Advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
  • Strong reconciliation skills and a keen analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills across all levels of the business.
  • A hands on, problem solving attitude with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • High personal integrity, adaptability and a strong work ethic.
