Overview
As a Financial Accountant, you will manage monthly, quarterly and yearly closings and coordinate with book-keeping providers to ensure compliance with local and group policies. You will prepare subsidiary financial statements, interim reports and consolidation forms under German GAAP and IFRS, while supporting audits and control bodies. You will assess the administrative impact of new rules and assist cross-functional teams with finance-related operations.
This role sits in a multinational, sustainability-focused organization and offers exposure to consolidation, audits and regulatory changes. You will contribute to protecting asset value through accurate accounting and governance.

- Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly closings and oversee payment flows as needed.
- Provide instructions to the bookkeeping provider ensuring policy compliance.
- Prepare subsidiaries' standalone statements, interim reports and consolidation forms per German GAAP and IFRS.
- Support external and internal audit activities and control bodies.
- Evaluate administrative impact of new regulations.
- Assist internal functions (Tax, P&C, M&A, Finance, BD) for administrative and extraordinary operations and funding.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–6 years’ experience in accounting/finance with financial statement preparation
- 2–3 years’ experience in a Big 4 audit firm
- Strong knowledge of German GAAP and IFRS
- Experience in consolidated financial statements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SAP and ERP systems
- Excellent written and spoken English and German
