With its EU-GMP-certified facility located near Lisbon, Portugal, the team ensures the manufacture of high-quality products and global shipping. The company is dedicated to being the No.1 B2B supplier of medical cannabis in Europe. It is also a premier partner for brands, providing top-tier manufacturing services that enable it to deliver high-quality products to consumers worldwide and distribute them into the market for its brands.

 

Position:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Finance Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial records, supporting reporting processes, and contributing to month-end and year-end closing activities.

 

Key Responsabilities:

  • Process, review and record invoices, expenses and payment requests;
  • Maintain accurate and timely accounting records in the ERP system;
  • Manage and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities;
  • Perform bank, supplier, customer and general ledger account reconciliations;
  • Maintain and review customer and supplier accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies when required;
  • Support the preparation and execution of supplier and other company payments;
  • Support monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy of accounting information;
  • Support financial and management reporting, providing accurate financial data when required;
  • Ensure financial records, supporting documentation and accounting files are properly maintained, organized and up to date;
  • Support internal and external audit processes, preparing and providing the required financial information and documentation;
  • Ensure compliance with the company's internal accounting procedures, policies and applicable accounting requirements;
  • Support the Finance Department with accounting-related activities and continuous improvement of financial processes;

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Academic background in Accounting, Finance, Management or a related field;
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Accounting or a similar role;
  • Good finance knowledge and analytical skills, with a focus on financial accounting best practices.
  • Full proficiency in English and Portuguese (written and spoken).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with different departments, customers and suppliers.


What We Offer:

  • Permanent position with opportunities for career progression within the company.
  • Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, between 8:00/9:00 a.m. and 5:00/6:00 p.m. (subject to change). We have a WFH scheme.
  • Annual gross salary between €20,000 and €35,000, depending on the candidate's experience, technical expertise and overall profile.
