Finance Operations Senior Analyst

About the Role Monzo’s Finance collective is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable & Receivable professional to manage supplier and employee payments, support month‑end close, and lead process automation initiatives across our UK, EU, and US subsidiaries. You will work closely with the Financial Control team, Tax, and Treasury functions and report to the Financial Operations Manager. Responsibilities Oversee day‑to‑day AP & AR processes, ensuring invoices and employee expenses are processed and approved in line with policy.

Resolve stakeholder queries within SLAs and provide ad‑hoc financial reporting and deep‑dive supplier spend analyses. Prepare month‑end tasks to support a smooth close, including review and approval of payment runs and compliance with company policy. Lead the implementation of new systems such as Concur for expenses and help roll out Purchase Orders across the business.

Coordinate with Treasury for weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, VAT reporting, and corporation tax processes. Act as deputy to the Financial Operations Manager, managing junior team members, setting performance goals, conducting appraisals, and driving continuous improvement through robust documentation. Qualifications Strong background in Accounts Payable & Receivable with experience managing junior staff.

Tax or treasury experience is a plus. Experience with SAP Hana or similar ERP systems preferred. Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
