The Role
Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager is responsible for the operations of the Ektimo Group’s Finance Department, with an ongoing impact on company operations, helping to analyse and improve financial performance. The role also has responsibility for financial compliance obligations and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the Finance Department including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
- External financial reporting obligations and compliance including BAS, STP, payroll tax.
- Manage the monthly and annual financial statements preparation process and liaise with the external tax accountants in relation to annual tax obligations.
- Cashflow forecasting and management.
- Oversight of the banking facilities and optimum funding arrangements.
- Manage the insurance renewal program and oversee insurance claims.
- Preparation and monitoring of targets and budgets.
- Managing the company’s financial systems, processes and procedures.
- Lead finance systems uplift (including implementing any new platforms or systems) and improving of data integrity.
- Providing reporting, commentary and analysis of the company’s performance to the management team and the Board.
- Providing financial insights and metrics to managers and the directors, and implementing initiatives to improve the company’s financial performance.
- Assisting with M&A activities, including integrating any acquisitions.
Experience & Knowledge
- Previous experience in a similar role as Finance Manager, ideally in PE investee (min. 5 years accounting experience).
- Leading and managing a team.
- Strong financial reporting experience.
- Skilled knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and reporting tools.
- Experience with Xero and WorkflowMax software systems (highly regarded).

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with senior stakeholders.
- An ability to drive compliance and manage deviations.
