Position - Director

Job Title Finance Controller

Key Responsibilities:

Financial accounting and book closure:

  • Preparation and review of periodic financial statements
  • Ensure timely and accurate closure of books of accounts in compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS, US GAAP etc)
  • Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting processes
  • Design and implement allocation methodologies that provide clear cost visibility across the organization
  • Appropriate review and capitalisation of labour cost etc
  • Periodical balance sheet reviews and appropriate measures for balance sheet clean up

Statutory Audit:

  • Drive external audits and engagement on risk and assurance compliance with external auditors

Payments and receivables management:

  • Ensure timely and compliant vendor payments with adherence to critical internal controls
  • Monitor and ensure timely billing and receivables
  • Ensure vendor database is updated and necessary DOA (Delegation of Authority) and other internal approvals (procurement and payment policies) are implemented or adhered to

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor finance and accounting team members
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team with a strong focus on capability building and succession planning
  • Promote culture of accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement

Cost Optimization & Productivity:

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency enhancement, and resource optimization.
  • Partner with business and functional leaders to drive productivity initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on cost-saving programs and benefits realization.
  • Own management reporting and performance dashboards for key stakeholders.
  • Deliver meaningful financial and operational insights through advanced analytics.
  • Support business leaders with data-driven recommendations to improve performance.
  • Drive standardization and automation of reporting processes.
  • Partner with IT Finance and cross-functional teams to implement reporting tools and finance technology solutions.
  • Play a key leadership role in the Oracle implementation and GCC reporting transformation initiative, expected over the next 6-9 months.
  • Drive process improvements through automation, data governance, and digital finance solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA)/ Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Experience:

  • 18+ years of post-qualification experience in various roles in finance and accounting
  • Experience working in multinational corporations with strong engagement with Headquarters outside India and global reporting frameworks preferred
  • Strong background in financial reporting, accounting & monthly book closure, and business controlling
  • Experience in managing finance for multi-product or multi-business environments
