Finance Architect - Organisational Transformation - 100% Remote, Contract - UK

A global organisation are seeking an experienced Finance Architect to support a significant organisational transformation involving changes to organisational units.

This position will focus on understanding the financial implications of the new organisational structure and designing practical finance solutions to support the change. This will include ensuring that finance processes, structures, controls and supporting systems are aligned to the future organisation.

This Finance Architect will work closely with Finance, business stakeholders and technology teams to define the target-state finance model, identify required changes and architect solutions that enable a smooth transition.

This will be an initial 6-12 months+ contract with the opportunity for multiple extensions.

This position can be worked 100% remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance architecture for a major organisational restructuring.
• Understand the financial implications of changes across multiple organisational units.
• Define how the future organisational structure should be reflected across finance processes and capabilities.
• Architect solutions to support changes to cost centres, financial structures, approval levels and governance.
• Assess the implications for existing finance systems and define the required changes or enhancements.
• Ensure finance processes and controls remain effective throughout the transition.
• Develop practical, scalable solutions that align business requirements with the existing finance technology landscape.
• Work with Finance, IT and business stakeholders to agree the target-state approach.
• Identify key dependencies, risks and transition considerations.
• Provide clear architecture, recommendations and direction to delivery teams.

Key Experience & Skills Required:

• Proven experience as a Finance Architect, Finance Solution Architect or similar role.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, organisational structures and financial controls.
• Experience supporting large-scale organisational change or transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of how organisational changes translate into finance processes, data and systems.
• Experience designing solutions across complex finance environments.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and detailed solution-design levels.
• Experience working across Finance and IT teams in large or complex organisations.
