Job Description
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting operations for LATAM entities in Brazil and Mexico, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company policies.
- Manage LATAM Accounts Payable processes, including invoice processing, approvals, and vendor relationship management.
- Act as the primary liaison between regional vendors and headquarters in New York.
- Reconcile bank accounts and corporate credit cards.
- Support payroll, tax, and employee benefits administration with global and local providers.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage relationships with external accountants and service providers.
- Serve as the regional subject‑matter expert on accounting, tax, and regulatory matters.
- Coordinate audits and maintain financial records using NetSuite and other systems.
- Support global accounting activities, including invoice processing, intercompany transactions, and expense reporting.
- Assist with month-end close activities, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.
- Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams on projects, process improvements, and system enhancements.
- Support global tax compliance initiatives and regulatory filings.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for LATAM operations.
- Monitor performance against budget and prepare management reports.
- Analyze financial results, risks, opportunities, and key variances.
- Drive financial discipline and cost-control initiatives across the region.
- Manage office operations, facilities, supplies, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and other departments to support business needs.
- Assist with special projects, employee engagement initiatives, and regional activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, and administration, preferably in a global or multinational organization.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration across teams.
- Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively across LATAM and global teams.

- Experience with NetSuite and Concur is a plus.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Tech-savvy with strong skills in Power BI, VBA, AI, or other emerging technologies.
