Key Qualifications

• Ability to work safely and efficiently with no supervision.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and shift work activities as needed.
• General electronic and computer knowledge is an asset.
• Enjoys working outdoors with various tools and equipment.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Minimum valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean abstract.
• Comfortable in towing trailers.

Job Responsibilities

• Rigging up various communication equipment (Satellite Internet, Cellular Repeater, Wireless Intercom, Wifi, IP Cameras, Laptop packages, Two‑way radio & portable towers) in remote locations.
• Providing exceptional customer service to clients while on site; maintaining a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Driving in all weather conditions on oil and gas roads (dirt/ice/mud).
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, snow, sun, wind).
• Cleaning and repairing various communication equipment; replacing hardware components and accessories.
• Administrative work such as writing field tickets and filling out timesheets.
• Safety tickets are an asset (H2S, first Aid, Fall Arrest, etc.).
• Work schedule of 15 days on/6 days off, traveling in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan.
• On‑call 24/7 while on shift.

Location and Travel

The role is based in Calgary, AB, but requires travel throughout BC, AB, and Saskatchewan. All travel and accommodation expenses are covered by DataDrill.
