Elantis is hiring one federal proposal writer in India who delivers at least 1 RFI response every working day and at least 1 RFP response every week. They use AI for speed, but the final text must read as written by an experienced person and be 100% accurate.

Job description

About the role. Elantis is building a US federal practice in IT staffing, cloud security, AI solutions and AI governance. You will own the written side of that pipeline: finding the right notices, answering RFIs and Sources Sought fast, and building compliant RFP volumes. We use AI heavily.

We need a writer who directs AI, checks every claim, and rewrites the output so a Contracting Officer reads it as a confident, specific, human response.

What you will do

• Screen SAM.gov and agency forecasts daily; shortlist notices that fit our NAICS codes (541511, 541512, 541519, 541611, 561311) and set-asides.
• Deliver at least 1 RFI / Sources Sought response every working day, each tailored to the agency's stated questions.
• Deliver at least 1 RFP response per week: shred Sections L and M, build the compliance matrix, draft technical and management volumes, and track Q&A deadlines.
• Write past performance write-ups, capability statements, resumes and key personnel narratives in federal format.
• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini) with structured prompts and a controlled content library; never submit unedited AI text.
• Fact-check every number, contract reference, certification and claim against source records before submission.
• Keep a reusable boilerplate library: corporate overview, QA/QC, transition, staffing, security, AI governance.
• Flag go/no-go risks: incumbent strength, unrealistic scope, missing certifications, clearance or teaming gaps.
• Hand over a daily status note to US leadership before end of shift.

Qualifications

Required

• 4–5+ years of proposal or bid writing; at least 3 of those years on US federal bids, active in 2023 or later.
• Has written complete responses to RFIs, Sources Sought, and RFPs issued on SAM.gov or GSA eBuy.
• Working knowledge of FAR Parts 15, 12 and 19, Section L/M structure, compliance matrices, and color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold).
• Understands set-asides (8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB, HUBZone, Small Business) and contract vehicles (GSA MAS, SEWP, CIO-SP, OASIS+).
• 1+ year using generative AI for writing work, with a repeatable prompting and editing method.
• Excellent written US English: plain language, active voice, no filler.
• Available 3 PM–12 AM IST, five days a week, with reliable power and internet backup.

Preferred

• Bids in IT services, cloud, cybersecurity, AI, or IT staffing.
• APMP Foundation or Practitioner certification.
• Experience with GovWin, HigherGov, GovTribe, or Loopio / Responsive.
• Worked with US-based capture teams across time zones.
