Role Description The Farm Manager role at Chathenkary Farms is a full-time, on-site position based in Thiruvalla taluk. The Farm Manager oversees day-to-day farm operations, including crop planning, soil and water management, irrigation scheduling, and supervision of farm workers. Responsibilities include monitoring livestock and poultry health, managing feed and housing, coordinating procurement of farm inputs, and ensuring equipment and infrastructure are maintained.

The role also involves tracking production data, managing budgets, implementing best practices for sustainable agriculture, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety and regulatory standards. The Farm Manager collaborates with ownership and team members to improve yield, efficiency, and overall farm performance.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of farm management and hands-on experience working in farms or agricultural operations.
• Practical experience in agriculture, including crop planning, soil management, and sustainable farming methods.
• Working understanding of irrigation systems, water scheduling, and efficient resource utilization.
• Experience with poultry care, feeding, housing, and monitoring flock health.
• Ability to supervise farm staff, organize daily tasks, and maintain a safe, inclusive working environment.
• Basic budgeting, record-keeping, and inventory management skills.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Agriculture or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to work on-site in Thiruvalla taluk and adapt to seasonal and weather-related work demands.
