Facility Engineer

The Facility Engineer at QpiVolta will be responsible for the end-to-end management, reliability, and scalability of facility infrastructure, ensuring seamless support for R&D, pilot manufacturing, and future scale-up. This role covers utilities, building systems, lab environments, safety, and infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on uptime, compliance, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilitie s 1.

Facility Operations & Utiliti es Ensure continuous operation of:o Electrical systems (HT/LT panels, DG sets, U PS)o HVAC syst emso Chillers, compressors, and water syst ems Maintain high uptime (>99%) for all critical infrastruc ture Monitor performance and proactively address inefficie ncies 2. Maintenance & Relia bility Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance sch edules Track breakdowns and perform root cause analysi s (RCA) Maintain logs for equipment health and lifecycle planning 3. Infrastructure & Project Execution Plan and execute:o Facility upgradeso New equipment inst allationso Layout modifications for lab/pilot line expansion Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and inte rnal teams Review drawings, BOQs, and technical spe cifications 4.

Safety, Complian ce & EHS Ensure comp liance with:o Fire sa fety systemso Electrical and industrial safe ty standardso Statutory regulations Conduct safety audits and ris k assessments Maintain documentation for inspections and certifications 5. Vendor & AMC Management Manage external vendors and se rvice providers Oversee AMC contracts and ensur e SLA adherence Ensure timely servicing and qu ality standards 6. Documentation & Repo rting Maintain:o Maintenance logso Incident reportso Co mpliance records Provide periodic reports on uptime, failures, and improvement s Key Req uirementsEducation B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Eng ineeringExperience 3–6 years in facility engineering / plant operation s / infras tructuremanagement Experience in manufacturing, R&D labs, or industria l setups preferr ed Technical Skills S trong knowledge of:o Electrical system s (DG, UPS, panels)o HVAC and cooling systemso Utility systems (ai r, water, chillers) Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) Ability to troubleshoot multi-s ystem facil ity issues Soft Skills Strong p roblem-solving ability Vendor coordination and stakeholder management Ability to operate in a fast-pac ed startup environment
