Role Overview: The Facilities Manager will oversee the daily operations of a dynamic trade shop within our companies environment. This position involves managing the maintenance, repair, cleaning, and preparation of rental inventory such as tents, tables, chairs, staging, linens, décor, and event equipment. The Facilities Manager ensures all items are ready for events, safe, and adhere to company quality standards, while maintaining a well-organized, safe, and efficient workspace.

Key Requirements

Bilingual Spanish (required)

Experience managing a team of approximately 27 employees

Strong background in upholstery, carpentry, painting, and general trades

Hands-on technical repair and maintenance skills preferred

Responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining all rental equipment

Daily collaboration with vendors and external service providers

Demonstrates strong leadership presence; personality and communication skills are essential

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily shop operations including cleaning, repairing, staging, and preparing rental equipment

Manage inventory control and tracking of all rental assets to ensure accuracy and accountability

Ensure all equipment meets stringent quality and safety standards prior to deployment

Supervise, train, and schedule the trade shop staff (27 employees)

Coordinate with operations, warehouse, and event teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and deliveries

Implement preventative maintenance programs across all rental inventory to extend lifespan and reduce downtime

Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work environment

Manage relationships with vendors related to repairs, servicing, and equipment maintenance

Support event logistics, including setup and breakdown, as needed

Track inventory movement, repairs, and quality control documentation for accountability and reporting

Continuously seek process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and enhance safety

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in operations, warehouse management, event production, or rental industry preferred

Prior supervisory or management experience required

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Ability to lift, move, and stage heavy event equipment safely

Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems is a plus

Bilingual Spanish (verbal and written) is required
