Role Description The Event Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kings Cross, London, United Kingdom. The Event Sales Manager will be a dynamic individual with a positive outlook and a vibrant, engaging personality. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain excellent client relationship with the ability and presence to reflect and represent the high standards of a luxury premium venue.
They will be responsible for driving revenue by selling event space, sponsorships, and event-related services. The role focuses on generating new business, managing client relationships, and converting enquiries into confirmed bookings while delivering an excellent client experience. Day-to-day tasks include managing incoming leads, conducting client meetings and venue show rounds, preparing proposals and pricing, and maintaining accurate records in the sales pipeline.
The Event Sales Manager collaborates with operations and event management teams to ensure smooth handover and delivery of booked events, including corporate and private functions. The role also involves building long-term client relationships, identifying new market segments, and contributing to sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Event Sales and Management skills, with experience overseeing event sales lifecycles of large events.
- Candidates should possess proven Sales skills, including lead generation, negotiation, closing, and account management.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage clients and internal teams effectively.
- Candidates should possess experience in managing Private Events, such as celebrations, receptions, and bespoke functions.
- Experience in venue sales or hospitality, particularly in the London events market, is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet revenue goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and basic office software, and strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Relevant education or training in events, hospitality, business, or a related field is an advantage.
