A well-established multi-disciplinary engineering and scientific consultancy delivering environmental, geotechnical, structural, and civil engineering solutions across Australia is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join its Sydney-based team.

The company’s Environmental Engineering division brings together environmental scientists, engineers, certified environmental practitioners, and technical specialists, delivering a diverse range of consulting services across major infrastructure, commercial, and development projects.

Multiple opportunities are available across junior to senior levels, and engineers with relevant consulting experience are encouraged to apply.

The Role

This position offers a genuine mix of site and office-based work, supporting projects from initial assessment and investigation through to reporting, remediation advice, and project delivery.

You will work across a range of environmental projects, collaborating with clients, contractors, regulators, and internal technical teams to deliver practical engineering outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting environmental site assessments and investigations
  • Completing contamination assessments, sampling, and monitoring programs
  • Preparing environmental reports, technical documentation, and remediation recommendations
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, regulators, and project stakeholders
  • Supporting due diligence assessments, groundwater management, dewatering, and remediation activities
  • Managing multiple projects through various stages of delivery

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
  • Experience within environmental consulting, engineering, or ground-related environments (mid-level through to senior)
  • Strong knowledge of site assessment, contamination management, and technical reporting
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and site teams
  • The ability to work effectively across both field and office environments
  • Availability to commence immediately or within a suitable timeframe

Project Exposure

You will join a team working across a strong and diverse project portfolio, including:

  • Major residential and commercial developments
  • Infrastructure and urban renewal projects
  • Environmental assessments and contamination investigations
  • Groundwater monitoring and management programs
  • Remediation and hazardous materials projects
