Role Description The English Teacher role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Soacha Central campus. The teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes at the appropriate grade levels, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback.
The role involves maintaining an inclusive classroom environment, supporting students’ language development, and collaborating with colleagues and families to enhance learning outcomes. The teacher will participate in school meetings, contribute to extracurricular or academic activities as needed, and adhere to institutional policies and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong English Teaching and general Teaching skills, with experience in primary and/or secondary education.
- Candidates should possess solid Lesson Planning abilities and a background in Education, including knowledge of curriculum design and assessment methods.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, enabling clear instruction, respectful interaction with students, and collaboration with colleagues and families.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Languages, or a related field; relevant teaching certifications or licenses are preferred.
- Proficiency in English (advanced or native level) and ability to teach all four language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking).
- Experience creating inclusive, student-centered classrooms and working with diverse learning needs.
- Strong classroom management, organizational abilities, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Familiarity with Colombian educational standards and willingness to participate in school events and institutional projects.
