Role Description
The English Teacher role is a full-time, on-site position based in Valledupar. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging English language lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives for primary and/or secondary students. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate academic records.
The role involves creating a supportive classroom environment, integrating bilingual and cross-cultural elements, collaborating with colleagues and school leadership, and participating in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Strong English Teaching and Teaching skills, with experience guiding primary and/or secondary students in language learning.
- Lesson Planning and Education expertise, including designing age-appropriate, standards-based instructional materials and assessments.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues in a multicultural, bilingual environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field; a teaching credential or license is preferred.
- Experience in bilingual or international school settings is an advantage.
- Ability to use educational technology, digital tools, and diverse teaching methodologies to support learning.
