Engineering Student

At PCL we offer students the chance to work on challenging assignments in a supportive environment that promotes personal and professional growth near Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. The role is available for 4 or 8 months, starting in September 2026. Responsibilities Assisting with project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and cost control.

Participating in project meetings. Reviewing drawings. Submitting requests for information.

Assisting with the identification and resolution of field technical issues. Acting as an ambassador for safety campaigns. Conducting field safety inspections.

Communicating changes with trades staff. Setting up and maintaining record keeping. Ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications Pursuing a degree or diploma in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or civil major). Strong desire to work in a construction environment; prior field construction experience is an asset. Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam is an asset.

Self‑motivated and able to work independently. Multi‑disciplinary mindset. Working Conditions Applicants must provide their own CSA‑approved steel‑toed boots and be willing to take a Pre‑Access Alcohol & Drug Test.
