About the Role: We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing, distributed software engineering team delivering enterprise-grade SaaS products.
This role is accountable for driving execution excellence, improving engineering maturity, and building a strong team culture aligned with Recastβs operating model. You will work closely with Product, Architecture, and other Engineering leaders to ensure predictable delivery, high-quality outcomes, and continuous improvement across development practices. This is a hybrid position that will work out of our office in Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore, India.
Job Title: Engineering Manager Top 3 Accountabilities: Delivery Predictability: Improve on-time delivery and sprint predictability through strong planning, execution discipline, and metrics (e.g., cycle time, lead time). Engineering Excellence: Drive adoption of scalable engineering practices, including CI/CD, test automation, code quality, and incident management. Talent & Team Development: Build and grow a high-performing team through hiring, coaching, and performance management aligned with company standards.
Key Role Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of 6β10 software engineers across geographies (India, EU, US). Own sprint planning, execution, and delivery outcomes in partnership with Product Management. Track and improve key engineering metrics (e.g., cycle time, deployment frequency, MTTR).
Ensure high standards for code quality, testing, security, and system reliability. Partner with Architecture and senior engineers on technical design and system scalability. Drive incident management rigor and ensure effective root cause analysis and follow-up actions.
Build a strong team culture focused on accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Manage performance, career development, and succession planning for team members. Minimum Requirements: 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a people management role.
Experience delivering SaaS or enterprise software products using modern tech stacks and cloud platforms. Proven experience managing Agile delivery processes and using engineering metrics to drive improvement. Preferred Knowledge and Skills: Strong leadership and coaching skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.
Experience working in distributed/global teams across multiple time zones. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern observability tools. Ability to balance technical depth with execution focus and stakeholder management.
