Engineering Manager - Feature Engineering

Job DescriptionWe are recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced, hands-on Engineering Manager to lead and grow their Feature Engineering team. Our client has developed a platform that connects master planning tools, providing planners, operators and leadership with a single source of truth across complex projects. This role reports directly to the Head of Software Engineering, the successful candidate will balance hands-on coding, technical leadership and people management.

You will work closely with Product, Design, QA, Platform & DevOps Teams owning end-to-end feature delivery across backend, frontend and mobile, ensuring reliable, scalable and well-tested software is delivered at a sustainable pace. Key Responsibilities Lead feature delivery using .NET Core/C# and Angular. Set standards for code quality, testing, API design and release readiness.

Drive pragmatic architecture decisions across data modelling, APIs and service boundaries. Champion testing, security, performance and reliability. Lead incident resolution and continuous improvement.

Hire, coach and develop engineers. Manage team planning, delivery risks and roadmap commitments. Partner with Product, Design and Platform teams to deliver high-quality features.

What Were Looking For You will have 710 years of software engineering experience, with strong hands-on expertise in .NET Core/C# and Angular. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases is essential, alongside previous engineering leadership experience. You should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality product features, developing engineers and prior experience in an ambitious start-up or scale-up environment is a definite advantage.

Experience in Construction Tech, mobile development, AWS, CI/CD or working alongside dedicated Platform teams would be advantageous. Our clients place a huge emphasis on in person collaboration, their very strong preference is for a 3 or 4 day a week onsite presence in their office in Dublin so unfortunately remote working is not available. This is an urgent hire with an ASAP start.
