Location: Mansfield, TX Job Id: 597 # of Openings: 1 JOB SUMMARY The Computer Engineering Intern will support the New Product Development team by assisting with day-to-day tasks, project work, and cross‑functional initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands‑on experience, professional development, and exposure to core business operations within Sellmark. The intern will work under the guidance of a designated supervisor and collaborate with team members to contribute to meaningful projects aligned with departmental goals.
Responsibilities may include research, data analysis, documentation, administrative support, and participation in team meetings or ongoing initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to develop practical skills, gain industry knowledge, and build professional competencies in areas such as communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork. Internship program will run 12 weeks starting late May .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS Develop and maintain Software Development Kits (SDKs) for electronic products. Create and update technical documentation, including product data sheets and Interface Control Documents (ICDs). Help maintain and update technical documentation and project logs.
Capstone presentation at the conclusion of internship. Perform additional duties as required to support the department's effective operation. QUALIFICATIONS Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university program relevant to Electrical Engineering or other engineering disciplines.
Strong interest in design and development and/or outdoor hunting and shooting industry. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with additional tools relevant to the department such as Vivado is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Professional attitude with a high level of integrity and accountability. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS May be required to sit or stand for extended periods.
Occasional bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and operating office machinery. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Primarily office‑based with exposure potential to outdoor conditions.
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS Main hours are Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm in office. Schedule may include evenings or weekends based on business needs.
