Role Description

As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) works across all project phases, with a strong focus on site execution, coordination, and engineering control. You will support and progressively take ownership of CSA work packages, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on time, within quality standards, and aligned with project requirements.


You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams (CSA, MEP, Fit-Out), contribute to site coordination, subcontractor management, and QA/QC processes, and develop the capability to operate at CSA Site Manager level.


Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Engineering Control

  • Support and take ownership of defined CSA work packages or project areas
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, specifications, and quality standards
  • Carry out and manage setting out, surveying, and engineering control activities
  • Interpret technical drawings (IFC, shop, as-built) and manage revisions
  • Maintain accurate as-built records and documentation
  • Monitor progress and support corrective actions to maintain programme alignment


Site Coordination & Interface Management

  • Coordinate CSA works with MEP, fit-out, and other project disciplines
  • Identify and mitigate interface risks and clashes before execution
  • Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings
  • Support integrated construction sequencing and programme alignment


Technical Delivery & Constructability

  • Review drawings for accuracy and constructability
  • Raise and manage RFIs proactively
  • Support review of method statements and risk assessments (RAMS)
  • Identify and propose constructability improvements


Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC)

  • Monitor quality in line with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Participate in inspections and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Manage snagging and close-out processes
  • Maintain accurate QA/QC records and documentation
  • Promote continuous improvement in quality standards


Subcontractor Coordination & Site Support

  • Support management of subcontractor performance and productivity
  • Assist in coordination and progress meetings
  • Ensure clear communication of expectations and standards
  • Support a collaborative, high-performance site environment


Planning & Programme Support

  • Work closely with planning teams to understand programme sequencing
  • Contribute to lookahead schedules
  • Track progress against programme and highlight risks
  • Support mitigation planning for delays or constraints


Health & Safety

  • Promote a strong safety culture on site
  • Ensure works are executed in line with health & safety standards
  • Identify hazards and raise observations
  • Support delivery of toolbox talks and safety briefings


Temporary Works

  • Support coordination and implementation of temporary works
  • Participate in reviews and ensure compliance with standards


Complex Project Delivery

  • Support delivery of CSA works on high-tech projects (e.g. data centres)
  • Contribute to coordination across construction, commissioning, and fit-out phases
  • Develop understanding of commissioning-driven construction sequencing


Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain daily reports, progress tracking, and coordination logs
  • Support reporting on risks, delays, and performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce rework


Skills and Experience Required

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in site-based construction delivery (CSA)
  • Strong understanding of setting out, surveying, and engineering control
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of QA/QC processes and safety standards
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple disciplines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, organised, and delivery-focused mindset
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
