Engineer / Senior Engineer - Casting Development

Job Description

We Sanmar Matrix Metals limited looking for Casting Engineer / Casting Development Engineer a steel foundry based in Viralimalai location ( near Trichy ).

\n

Qualification : B.E / B.Tech or Diploma

\n

Experience: Minimun of 3+ years into Casting Development from steel foundry.

\n

Indicative Tasks:

\n

1. New Product (casting) Development

\n

Carry flexibility study (tolerance, complexities, infras tructure, new grade etc.,) upon receiving the RFQ from marketing department.

\n

Preparation of detailed technlogy of pattern layout and sharing with patter shop.

\n

Follow up with pattern shop for the purchase order.

\n

Creation of SAP codes for the new castings.

\n

Preparation of PPAP documents and submit to customers and also preparation of process sheet for internal process..

\n

Prepare and issue route card to the planning department.

\n

Witness all core making, mould making and core assembly mould and pouring.

\n

Follow up with First stage, HT, fetling, NDT test and dimensional layout and ensure the castings are as per customer requirements.

\n

Identify and suggest defective castings for re-work with support from MAGMA team and Technical Head.

\n

Customer offering of sample catings to customers.

\n

To analyse and identify quality issues / clarifications in the PNCR from customer.

\n

Finalisation of castings for bulk production with Technical Head's approval.

\n

2. Existing products (castings)

\n

Study and analyse the existings castings for quality and efficiency improvement.

\n

Focus on Yield improvement, cost reduction, process improvement, sand reduction etc.,

\n

3. Customer complaints

\n

Clarification of new product drawings with customers to identify their needs.

\n

Clarify customers on any issues in the PNCR received.
