Whatyouwilldo: TheIBM iSeries Engineeringteam at TJX plays a critical role in supporting our global operations by ensuring seamless deployment, configuration, and management ofIBM iSeries Power main framesolutions. As an Engineer II on theIBM iSeries Engineeringteamat TJX, youll help support the deployment and management ofIBMpowersystems inour global distribution operations.
Youll work closely with senior engineers, vendors, and internal teams to implement and maintainthisenvironment. Key Responsibilities: Server administration and remote supportand assist in configuring and managing iSeries Power environments Data center maintenance activities, backup scheduling, and power down procedures Bi yearly patching cycles and ongoing server patching User ID administration for Home Office users Tools support: MQ, MIMIX, TAA, ESP/ControlM, iSeries Job Scheduler, Robot Backup support including replication to CTC iSeries, Data Domain backups, and on demand tape drive scripting Restore support using MIMIX and Data Domain Hardware support (disk, cache battery, failed hardware components) Vendor coordination and management Support for SOX audit activities Security vulnerability remediation and monitoring Operational monitoring using Robot Certificate management What You will Need (Minimum Qualifications): Minimum 3+ years of experience in supporting IBMi/ AS400 environments Basic scripting capability (PowerShell or similar) Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field Experience with enterprise operational tools (Robot,ControlM, MQ, etc.) Exposure to ITIL or enterprise service managementpractice
