Job Description
Job Overview As a fire engineer, you'll typically be working on a variety of projects at once from a University in Scotland to a high‑rise residential tower in London, with plenty of international projects. All with the same goal of enabling innovative architectural design without compromising on the fire safety of the building. Responsibilities You'll be running through design information, liaising with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures, presenting designs to local authorities and the Fire Service, and helping to inform the design team about what changes could be made to increase the safety of the building.
Programme At WSP, we have multiple opportunities for our fire engineers to grow via a bespoke programme designed to provide you with both professional skills and specialist technical development opportunities. The structured programme includes but is not limited to training in: Technical report writing Team specific technical skills Project management (introduction and advanced) Influential communications Commercial concepts Collaborate team challenge Continuous Improvement Qualifications You will have a BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent. Experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
Location This role can be based from any of our UK major offices.
