Location Surrey, British Columbia, CA & New Westminster, British Columbia, CA Operating Sector Major Projects West What is the Opportunity? Fraser Crossing Partners, selected by the Province of British Columbia to design, build and partially finance the project, is a 50/50 joint venture between Aecon and Acciona. The new four‑lane cable‑stayed bridge over the Fraser River will provide network connections to New Westminster and Surrey, feature a centre safety median barrier and wider lanes to accommodate both passenger and commercial vehicles, and have dedicated walking and cycling lanes.

The project also includes the construction of connecting roadways on the north and south sides of the bridge, grade separations on Highway 17, and the removal of the existing bridge once the new bridge is complete. What You'll Do Here Meet daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm all materials, equipment and resources are readily available for production to continue on schedule and within budget. Take part in safety toolbox talks, daily tailboard meetings, risk assessment evaluations and weekly safety inspections.

Collect, coordinate and analyse shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data throughout the project to ensure quality and contract specification compliance. Provide technical input for the project work plan and scheduling. Identify risk elements of production, materials, equipment or process that could negatively impact the budget or schedule.

Evaluate daily production, schedule and budget projections to accurately track project performance. Document daily activities in company‑approved methods and technologies. Notify team members and manager of any significant schedule changes and recommend solutions for management consideration.

Remit accurate project quantity input and controls using assigned project cost coding to ensure project financials are accurately reported. Manage cost coding with company finance and accounting teams regarding employee time, materials, equipment and subcontractor needs. Review project specifications for quality assurance at the beginning of work, during the project work and after work completes.

Initiate and manage appropriate certificates, inspections and other documentation regarding construction production on the project site. Work with construction crews and engineering leaders to plan field layout on the project site, ensuring appropriate utility and commercial lines are marked before production begins. Initiate and manage any permits needed before work can begin.

Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as needed. Be responsible for evaluating progress draws for subcontractor work performed and change orders as situations arise. Reconcile job close‑out checklist with owner representative and field crews at the end of the project.

Take ownership of Certificate(s) of Completion related to designated scopes. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required. What You Bring to the Team Post‑secondary school education in Civil Engineering or Construction Management disciplines; or an acceptable combination of education and previous experience.

A minimum of 3‑5 years working as a Field Engineer or Project Coordinator, ideally in project engineering or heavy civil construction environment. Knowledge of construction equipment & techniques, drawing & specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to the project. Proficiency in software related to the construction industry (e.g.

Primavera Scheduling software, AutoCAD, SAP etc.). Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.

Flexibility to work in both field and office. Design‑build project experience would be advantageous. The expected pay range for this position is $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per annum.
