Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Locum APP Opportunity Trauma Surgery / Critical Care San Francisco Start Date: August 4 Assignment Length: 26 Weeks A high-volume Level 1 trauma center in the Bay Area is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for a locum assignment supporting trauma and critical care services across the ED, inpatient floor, and ICU settings. Position Highlights Busiest trauma center in the Bay Area APP will provide care for critically ill and injured patients throughout the continuum of care Collaborative environment with residents and multidisciplinary teams Exposure to trauma, emergency, ICU, neurosurgery, orthopedic, and critical care patients Patient Volume 2025 patients per day shared with resident team on the floor 512 trauma activations daily Responsibilities Evaluate and manage trauma and emergency patients Care for critically ill patients from ED through ICU and inpatient units Assist with trauma activations and acute stabilization Manage complex medical and surgical conditions including: Shock Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) Stroke Neurosurgical conditions Orthopedic trauma Required Qualifications Active California license at time of submission California DEA required BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of trauma experience required OR ICU experience Comfortable working with trauma and ED patients Preferred Qualifications Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred / ICU experience highly preferred Experience with: Arterial lines Central lines Chest tubes Background in neurosurgery, ICU, emergency medicine, or orthopedics considered ATLS preferred This is an excellent opportunity for an APP seeking high-acuity trauma experience within a premier Bay Area trauma center.
