Electronics Engineer

Electronics Engineer London (primarily onsite) Full-time | Permanent We’re looking for a motivated early-career Electronics Engineer, to join an innovative hardware team developing next-generation sensing and instrumentation technology. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience designing, building and testing cutting-edge electronic systems in a fast-paced R&D environment. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external partners, contributing across the full product development lifecycle – from concept and prototyping through to testing, integration and optimisation.

Key Responsibilities Design, build and test electronic components and prototype systems Integrate electronic and mechanical solutions into advanced sensing platforms Support lab automation projects through hardware implementation Optimise circuit layouts, grounding, shielding and noise reduction techniques Apply signal processing methods to improve system performance Carry out circuit simulation and modelling using tools such as SPICE Debug and characterise analogue/digital electronics including amplifiers, ADCs, DACs and power systems Produce technical documentation, specifications and test reports Maintain and upgrade prototype instruments and hardware stock Collaborate with PCB design, fabrication and external engineering partners Keep up to date with emerging technologies in electronics and sensors About You Degree qualified in Electronics / Electrical Engineering (BEng, MEng or similar) Strong understanding of analogue electronics, instrumentation or low-noise design Experience with PCB design tools and PCB development Hands-on lab experience using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, power supplies etc. Programming ability in C, C++ or Python for automation/testing Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset Desirable Experience Microcontrollers / embedded systems Soldering and PCB assembly Medical devices, sensors or scientific instrumentation
